Absence

2 weeks ago it became clear that my grandmother's pneumonia was taking a serious turn. Sunday we lost her and this week was the visitation/funeral/burial.  I was very close to my grandma (we even bought her house) and it has affected me pretty deeply.

She was an amazing woman fully devoted to her family. She had 7 children, 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and even 1 great-great-grandchild.  All of the good memories are painful right now - though I'm very thankful that I have so many.  She was 83 this year.  I have no doubt she is now reunited with my grandpa in heaven.

I will catch up with my April sewing makes in a bit. Until then I'm taking just a bit of time to heal and remember.

  3. Kristen,
I am so sorry to hear about your grandma [what a handsome couple they are]..My heart goes out to you. I was very close to my grandmother also.. I lost her nearly 20 years ago, and it is still so sad. She was a wonderful grandparent and I too, know she is in heaven. That is such a comfort. I will be praying for you and your family.. May God bless each of you , and help you through this difficult time. Hugs.
