MMM 2015 Week 1

I started off MMM great, but it's sort of going downhill.  I need to get back on track! Here is my first week of MMM 2015.

May 1st, 2015 70°F
Sorry I look grumpy here, I'm really not unhappy ;-)
Grocery Shopping night with the family. Charley Harper Renfrew top

May 2nd, 2015 79°F
Outside house work with the husband

May 3rd, 2015 82°F and Thunderstorms
Lounging around the house, I wore a t-shirt with these

May 4th, 2015 73°F and Thunderstorms
 Lounging around the house.

May 5th, 2015 60°F
I wore just the pants, had a routine MRI

And sadly that is it. I haven't worn any Me-mades since the 5th.  I find that I reach for tee shirts more often than anything so I have a gap of that in my wardrobe of me mades. I have a lot of fun geeky t-shirts that I own so I'm not sure if I will fill that gap with me-mades.

I haven't started going through my closet yet either of what to keep, toss, donate, etc.  I should start that soon!  How about you, how has your me-made been going? Is it harder than you thought?

  1. I love those Jalie yoga pants! I have made one pair and I wear them constantly. I need to buy fabric to make more. Your Burda Tie Tank is one of my favorites that you have made. I should look for that issue (and fabric ha ha). I have been wearing my makes when I leave the house. That was twice this week--woo hoo! I don't really go much here unless we are actually doing something. I have been rethinking my wardrobe. I think I'm good with dresses. I need to stop making them, and skirts too I think. I am in desperate need of shorts and tops. I tried making elasticized drawstring waist shorts this week since my zippered ones got too tight. They went int he trash. Now I know why I don't make them. I felt so frumpy in them. ha ha

    1. I need to make another pair of those Jalie pants. Super comfy and they fit so nice. I wear mine tons too. The first pair is pilled to death and the second pair I made too tight, lol.
I could always trace off that pattern for you in the magazine, you know. ;-)
I haven't left the house much these last few weeks either - tough life, I know! hahaha. Just to the doctor's appts and taking the kids to school. I did get through my closet and found I don't have much that I LIKE to wear. I'm so much of a t-shirt and pants girl. I am super desperate for shorts - working on one pair right now. So sorry yours went in the trash. I'll cross my fingers that mine don't end up there too!
      Thanks Shirley!

  2. I am just glad I didn't decide to participate. I would totally fall on my face :)
I think you're doing good. If you constantly go for T-shirts, maybe what you need more of is bottoms? Pants and things that go with those tee's?

  3. I LOVE the burda tie tank top! Amazing fabric, and the style really suits you too. Don't give up, why not dig out a few more me-made gems, maybe something you wouldn't normally wear? A bit of experimentation might spark your me-made motivation lol! Good luck, great wardrobe :) x
